Concordia team completes Kokoda Challenge
Concordia's 2022 Kokoda Challenge team completed the gruelling 96km trek across the Gold Coast Hinterland on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 July.
The team completed the challenge in 34 hours and 56 minutes.
The Kokoda Challenge aims to invoke the spirit forged on the Kokoda Track by the 39th Battalion of the Australian Army in 1942 who fought during the Kokoda Track campaign.
It is designed to foster the qualities of mateship, endurance, courage and sacrifice.
Concordia had two teams registered in the challenge and have so far raised almost $3,000 collectively. The students who participated were Lily Christensen, Jasmine Hollonds, Lauren Makings, Victoria Richards, Grace Webcke, Mackenzie Weier and Samuel Wong. They were supported by Mrs Lexi Morton and Mr Brett Richards.
