Concordia celebrates the appointment of Jackie Minnikin as Principal
The Concordia Lutheran College community celebrates an exciting new chapter as College Council announces the appointment of Jackie Minnikin as the College’s 12th Principal, effective January 2027.This appointment marks a significant milestone in Concordia’s history, with Jackie becoming the College’s first female Principal in its 80-year journey.
It is a moment of pride, reflection and anticipation as the College looks towards the future while remaining firmly grounded in the values and traditions that have shaped generations of Concordians. For many within our community, Jackie is a familiar and trusted leader.
Currently serving as Director of Junior College, she has dedicated the past 19 years to Concordia as an educator, leader and parent. Throughout that time, she has played a vital role in nurturing students, supporting families and helping strengthen the vibrant culture that makes Concordia such a special place to learn and grow. Following the announcement, Jackie shared her heartfelt gratitude with the College community.
“I have been truly overwhelmed by the kindness, encouragement and support shown to me following the announcement of my appointment as Interim Principal of Concordia Lutheran College.
The messages, calls and conversations from students, parents, staff, past families and members of the wider community have been incredibly humbling and deeply appreciated.“ Concordia is a community that means so much to me, and I am grateful for the trust and confidence that has been placed in me.
I feel both honoured and excited to serve the College in this capacity and to continue working alongside our wonderful students, staff and families as we build on the strong foundations that have shaped Concordia into the extraordinary community it is today.“
