STEM Day at Concordia Lutheran College
What will the future look like — and who will build it? Come and find out. Concordia Lutheran College invites Year 5 students from across the Toowoomba region to join us for a full day of hands-on STEM learning, real-world problem solving, and plenty of fun.
STEM Day is designed for curious, creative upper primary students who want to experience something beyond the ordinary classroom — and for families who want to see what learning at Concordia genuinely looks and feels like.
Students will spend the day rotating through exciting workshops, meeting our teachers, exploring our campus, and getting a real taste of what the middle years at Concordia have in store.

What students will do
Throughout the day, students will rotate through three hands-on workshops designed to challenge their thinking, spark their curiosity, and connect learning to the real world.
3D Modelling and Laser Cutting
Students will create their own digital designs and experience firsthand how technology transforms ideas into something tangible. A genuine introduction to the design thinking process.
Technology in Agriculture
Students will explore the needs of young calves and help care for them, before turning their attention to digital technology, creating their own virtual pets using microbits. Where the paddock meets the processor.
Food Technology
Students will dive into the chemistry behind food preservation and get creative in the kitchen, making their own delicious creations to take home.
